Dozens of protesters returned to the streets of San Juan, demanding the withdrawal of plans to privatize electricity in the American colony of Puerto Rico. Demonstrators blocked roads and yelled chants against the Luma corporation, which would soon assume the responsibilities of the island’s electricity.

Youth clashed with police in many alleyways, throwing rocks and burning barricades after law enforcement arrived to disperse the demonstration.
Clashes across the indigenous region of Araucania continued after the police killing of Mapuche chief Pablo Marchant during a sabotage operation against deforestation equipment, with protests and roadblocks occurring in various roads and cities.
