They demonstrated in front of a city commissioner’s house, demanding that he endorse the defunding. Negotiations opened up, with protesters and the commissioner exchanging information.
Dozens of protesters in Athens gathered for demonstrations in solidarity with the November 17 hunger striker Dimitris Koufontinas, demanding his transfer to the Korydallos Prison of Athens. Over 100 protesters in Heraklion gathered in solidarity with the Koufontinas hunger strike to be returned to the Korydallos prison. Demonstrators were almost immediately attacked by police before regrouping and forcing law enforcement to retreat and disperse.
Protesters took to the streets again for Karon Hylton, whose family members have also repeatedly been attacked by police. At least 10 protesters were arrested, and a cousin of Hylton was among them. No police were injured during the protest.
