Barricades were placed and tires were burned, before police and the military arrived, killing 2 participants and injuring dozens of others.
Dozens of protesters in Elizabeth City took to the streets for an 11th day to demand justice for Andrew Brown, an unarmed Black man killed by police with assault rifles. Unlike previous days, police did not directly attack the demonstration, and no arrests occurred.
