Protesters in the center of Concepción gathered in the dozens demanding the resignation of Chilean President Sebastian Piñera, setting up barricades and blocking key access roads. 2,000 protesters later gathered from coalitions of groups, chanting slogans against Piñera. Demonstrators were marked as being so fierce against Carabinero riot vans that they were forced to flee the scene after being pelted with rocks and other projectiles.
