Around 150 protesters took to the streets of Valparaíso to demand the end of femicides as well as access to free and safe abortions, something long denied in Chile. Demonstrators placed barricades, in response to which heavily militarized police arrived on the scene and attacked the crowd, making several brutal arrests.

Hundreds of protesters took to the streets and clashed with police in opposition to the monarchy of Thailand and the rule of Prime Minister Prayut, a general who assumed office in the 2014 military coup and largely seen as responsible for the mishandling of the pandemic and lack of vaccines.
The Anarchist Political Organization in Athens protested outside of Parliament in Syntagma Square in solidarity with former 17 November member Dimitris Koufontinas, who entered a hunger strike on the 8th of January to demand a transfer to the Korydallos prison in Athens, which would enable him to see visitors and receive adequate medical care. Police arrived at the scene in riot gear, detaining and later releasing everyone.
