Hundreds of Argentinians gathered in the city of Maipú in the province of Mendoza after the femicide of a 14-year-old girl. Demonstrators began to clash with police at the local seat of government, later setting it on fire and nearly burning it down with several explosions occurring within the town hall.
Florencia Romano went missing on the 13th of December and was discovered on the 16th, with sharp injuries and burn scars. At the time that she had called for help, a neighbor called 911 and received no aid from the responder.
