Protesters in Minneapolis took to the streets in a crowd of about 100 people, clashing with police with 14 arrests occurring. Neighbors exited their homes and began to verbally clash with police officers, defending the demonstrators and stating that the police caused larger unrest by provoking fights.
Thousands of protesters in Nantes marched against a reformation of the unemployment insurance system, recent mass layoffs in both the public and private sector, as well as job insecurity in France. Several trade unions called for the day of the demonstration, as well as many smaller organizations and groups.
Hundreds of protesters gathered in Santiago for the anniversary of the police murder of Mauricio Fredes in the 2019 protests, demanding justice for the fallen comrade. Police responded with intense repression, using water cannons, tear gas, and pepper spray indiscriminately against protesters and medics alike, but demonstrators remained firm and did not back off until the night.
