Protesters in Minneapolis took to the streets in a crowd of about 100 people, clashing with police with 14 arrests occurring. Neighbors exited their homes and began to verbally clash with police officers, defending the demonstrators and stating that the police caused larger unrest by provoking fights.

Dozens of port workers in Valparaiso took to the streets as part of a nationwide strike, demanding the government passage of the ability to withdraw 10% of a person’s pension fund in direct cash for a 3rd time during the COVID-19 pandemic. Demonstrators lit tires and blocked roads, before riot police arrived, using water cannons and tear gas to disperse the strikers.
Syrian Kurdish rebels in Rojava gathered in solidarity with protesters in Chile, calling on the government of the Chilean state to release the political prisoners of the 18th of October uprising who have been often kept in complete isolation.
1,000 Portlanders attended a vigil in Vancouver for Kevin Peterson, remembering him and demanding justice against his killers. Right-wing agitators from Patriot Prayer armed with AR-15s arrived as well, assaulting protesters, as well as a Trump truck ramming through the crowd. After the vigil, protesters marched to Portland and the courthouse in Vancouver, being shot at twice by a Trump supporter.
About 150 protesters marched on the ICE facility in Portland to demand the immediate abolition of the agency, which new President Biden has expressed his opposition to doing. Demonstrators were horrifically attacked with chemical weapons and munitions, including tear gas, pepper balls, TC gas (a deadlier form of tear gas and possible carcinogen), and many other forms of assault.
