Around 1000 protesters in Bristol returned to the streets in opposition to a law that would expand police powers, restrict the right to protest, and also criminalize a nomadic lifestyle. Police brutally attacked the protesters, injuring many and deploying horses and dogs against the peaceful demonstrators.
Dozens of protesters in Antofagasta took to the streets demanding the resignation of president Sebastian Piñera, famous for exacerbating disastrous neoliberal policies in Chile. Demonstrators also called for the abolition of the country's national police force, the Carabineros, long marred by accusations of human rights abuses.
