The graduate students of the University of Chicago enacted a strike about a week ago, to switch back to an online curriculum and stop placing the lives of the professors at risk. The University of Chicago has insofar contacted courts to complain about the strike and a lack of 'education for undergraduates', but the strike continues at the moment.

Protesters took to the streets in Santiago on the anniversary of the murder of Communist Revolutionary and singer Victor Jara by the US-backed fascist Pinochet regime. Victor Jara, a militant of the Chilean communist party, was arrested after the US-backed far-right coup against Salvador Allende and brutally tortured until being shot 44 times by regime forces on the 16th.
Protests occurred in Philadelphia in advance of a rally that Trump will be holding to re-elect him as President of the United States, with about 300-500 protesters gathering to demonstrate against the rally occurring. The rally took place to address his plans to end police brutality in front of undecided voters.
